Where the figures come from
Natural population growth, or natural population increase (excess of births over deaths), is the difference between the number of live births and the number of deaths at all ages during a certain calendar period, which in the database is a calendar year, that is, the period from January 1 to December 31 inclusive. In recent years, due to the peculiarities of the demographic situation in developed countries, where increasingly the number of deaths exceeds the number of births, in the practice of international statistics the terms “balance of births and deaths” or “balance of births and deaths” and “natural population turnover".
